Saqi Books is a leading independent publisher and book shop on the Middle East and North Africa. They have been running for thirty years and hold multiple awards which recognise their work to celebrate MENA authors.

Pink Jinn

Pink Jinn is an online platform which seeks to highlight the beauty and diversity of the Middle East and North Africa whilst challenging misconceptions and stereotypes about the region. They also have a Souq on Etsy where you can buy beautiful products which support local businesses in the region.

ArabLit Quarterly

A quarterly journal which aims to bring more awareness to Arabic literature in translation. They also have really interesting blog posts on their website.

A new independent media platform that stemmed from the Middle East Archive. They celebrate the beauty and diversity of the MENA.

Al Jazeera

Al Jazeera is an independent news organisation funded in part by the Qatari government. Here you can find the latest news on the MENA region.

Sijal.me

Sijal.me is Sijal is an interview-based platform archiving influential and critical Khaleeji voices with focus on contemporary regional issues. They argue that the media does not focus on the nuances of the Middle East despite the social, cultural, and political ties.
